Post Office

The following terms and conditions apply to the Post Office's Digital Drop-in sessions (the Events) being held at various venues on various dates, as shown on the [insert webpage address]. The Events are free drop-in sessions at which you can learn how to get started on line, getting the most from your digital device, whilst staying safe online. By registering to attend or attending one of these Events you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions then you should not attend the Event.

  1. The Events are being organised and hosted by Post Office Limited, in partnership with Google Digital Garage. Any reference to “we” or “us” in these terms and conditions is to Post Office Limited.
  2. To attend one of the Events, you can register through the registration form on the webpage, on social media or call the registration line. However, you do not need to register to attend, you can just turn up at the Event if you so wish
  3. We will send you an email confirming the details for your chosen Event on receipt of your registration form.
  4. You can bring your own digital device (e.g. phone, laptop, tablet) with you to the Event. We will have devices for you to use if you do not have your own.
  5. Entry to the Event itself will be from 9.45 am although some venues at which the Events take place (the Venue) will be open earlier than this. Please check the Venue's own website for details of their opening hours. Each Event will run from [10am] and will finish at [1pm]. As these are drop-in sessions, you can attend the Event any time you wish between these times Refreshments will be provided during the event
  6. There is no age restriction for the event. Children should obtain their parents or legal guardians consent to attend.
  7. Places may not be transferred, exchanged or sold to any other person once registration is confirmed.
  8. If we cancel an Event before the Event start date, we will notify you as soon as possible. However, we may not be able to notify you in advance if the Event has already started and/or if we have to cancel because of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g. terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, epidemics and pandemics, or unavoidable technical problems).
  9. All attendees must comply with the instructions provided at the Venue including health and safety rules and any security requirements, and conduct themselves in a polite and respectful manner. Smoking is not permitted at the Venue. We reserve the right to require, without refund or compensation, any attendee to leave the Venue if their behaviour is considered by any member of our team to be abusive, disorderly, or a source of danger or annoyance to others.
  10. We and our employees, agents and/or representatives do not accept any responsibility for any property or personal effects left, lost or damaged at the Venue. Personal property or effects brought to the Venue are the responsibility of its owner.
  11. We and our employees, agents and/or representatives do not accept any responsibility for any injury, damage or loss caused to any attendee howsoever arising from or as a result of participation in the Event.
  12. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or restrict our liability for death or personal injury caused by our or our employee's or agents' negligence, or for fraud.
  13. Each attendee gives his/her express consent to being photographed at the Event and for us to use, free of charge and at any time in the future, these photographs (and any reproductions or adaptations of the images) for use in promoting the wide campaign, including press releases and Post Office publications.
    1. You agree that:
      1. any personal information relating to you may be held and used by Post Office or its agents and suppliers for the purposes of organising and administering the Event (we may need to contact you, for example, in relation to any changes to the venue or the date). The information will be retained for a period of 12 months after the Event, after which it will be anonymised.
      2. Post Office may use personal information relating to the Event to promote the event and the wider campaign in any media including, without limitation, press, online and social media platforms; and hosted content, and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes without further recompense.
